Representative Luis Gutierrez talked to Ed Schultz about the meeting Hispanic leaders had with President Obama regarding the vote on the DREAM Act during the lame duck session of the old Congress (by the way, love the interaction between Ed & Rep. Gutierrez):
In addition to supporting the DREAM Act as a downpayment of comprehensive immigration reform, it was touching to see Rep. Gutierrez take a moment to acknowledge how Harry Reid never backed down from his support of immigration reform, even in the face of his opponent during the last elections riling up an extreme right-wing base against him and his position in defense of Latinos and other immigrants’ rights.
